I don’t understand this. We know Germans are perverts, no offence to my German readers, but let’s face it, Deutschland leads the world (or at least is tied with France and Japan) in matter relating to scat, urolagnia (that’s watersports in the Latin terms), and a bunch of other stuff to long to ponder. We can probably rescan the Fetish Roadmap and it will be a map of the BRD. Well, now, following in the footsteps of the Terry Richardson campaign with Josie Maran, we have a new spread for “Deutsch” magazine. Why? Who knows. Sorry, I’m a bit lazy to translate the copy for you but basically all it does is ask the same questions as I do. That is: “Why?”
Isn’t it simple? You see a blond woman, which stands for „DEUTSCH“ and a German sheepdog, a SCHAEFERHUND, which is also a symbol for DEUTSCH. Agency Jung von Matt did nothing but combine the two typically GERMAN things – and if someone thinks, this is fetish or perve – it is all up to him or her – in their opinion.
What I think is that you should not support all those American preconceptions about Germany. German law does not allow any bestiality porn, as you may know – and what you have been talking about, is not porn or fetishism, but an official campaign for the DEUTSCH magazine. So please, don’t mix it up.

Hello “See Horse.” Erstmal, ich kann Deutsch lesen. Second, I prefaced the post with no offence to my German readers. Third, you should read my blog and see that much of it is tongue in cheek. Fourth, I am big fan of German people and German culture in general. Fifth, I did not say or even imply that bestiality porn is legal in Germany. Anyway, did you read the article in Blick? I know it’s a Swiss one so maybe hence it was disparaging.
And I read that stupid quote by the ad agency where he said sth like “The viewer will make whatever of it that
he or she wants” but I also read the user commments that said things like “heute Tiere und nachdem die Kindern?”
Come on, if you don’t think there’s anything remotely sniffing of being EXTREMELY PROVOCATIVE by implying bestiality in this campaign exactly like the Terry Richardson one, and find these images completely innocuous, I haven’t a clue as to what to say.
